Mark your calendars for a 2 day disc dog event in August! The Canadian USDDN qualifier will held over 2 days at K9sense in Manotick, August 21 & 22nd, 2010. Non-qualifying and qualifying divisions will be offered which will include, puppy/beginner rollers, Novice toss and fetch, Super Open freestyle, Super Pro too and fetch more information to come on the website...www.flyingdiscdogs.com

Hilltop Agility are hosting a disc dog seminar coming up July 17th just outside of Cornwall with Former World Champion Jeff Perry from Skyhoundz for information www.hilltopk9agility.ca.

Hilltop is also hosting an agility trial August 14th & 15th Hilltop K9Agility in Williamstown, Ontario.

Uherders herding club is holding 5 CKC trials with 2 Judges September 25-26th and also Tanya Wheeler will be giving a One Day herding Clinic on September 24th.

What happens when 1000 Island DockDogs gets together with eight local Animal Rescue organizations?

A Splashing good time at an action-packed canine sport, open to dogs of all breeds/people of all ages! No experience necessary. Requirements for participation are minimal: participating dogs must love being in the water. Simple enough? Add your dog's favourite floatable toy, a 4-foot leash, and the handler's desire to have fun with their dog, and you're ready for an intense splashdown and lots of fun.

This exciting family oriented event will be held at the Rideau Carleton Raceway on September 11th and 12th 2010.

Visitors will also be able to watch some exciting canine sports demo’s throughout the weekend, visit people from local rescue groups and see many local pet vendors on site.

    Ottawa Dog Sports provides information performance sports in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. Along with information on the various activities Ottawa Dog Sports provides links to local training facilities, lessons and clubs. Not all sports have the same level of organization at the local level as a result the link or information on the site may take you directly to the governing body whom you can contact to find a local club.
